Concept explainers
Interpretation:
The decreasing order of freezing point from the given aqueous solution is to be determined.
Concept Introduction:
Freezing point depression: The freezing point of the solution varies with the solute concentration.
Decline in the freezing point is huge when solute is an electrolyte than when solute is nonelectrolyte.
van’t Hoff factor, i: it is the ratio between change in in freezing point measured and change in in freezing point calculated. It indicates the total number of ions that are produced.
Molality (m): Molality is the number of moles of solute present in one kilogram of solvent.
Freezing point of a solution decreases with the increase in concentration of the solute in solution.

- Show the full mechanism of how the molecule ((1E, 3E, 5E)-1-methoxyhepta-1,3,5-triene) is built using substitution and elimination reactions. You can start with an alkane of any carbon length with any number of leaving groups attached or with a alkoxide of any carbon length (conjugate base of an alcohol). Show each step and and explanation for each reaction. Also include why the reagents and solvents were picked and what other products can be expected.arrow_forwardProblems 1.
