Problem of choose and Book system:
The below are the issue that has been held with the “NHS (National Health Service)” choose and Book system:
- At 2004, “choose and Book system” was installed in helping the patients for selecting and booking appointment with the doctors.
- At 2010, a senior cardiologist experienced problem with the patient’s arrival to the hospital and allocating appropriate specialist to its users.
It is found that the system “choose and Book” system took long procedures to fulfil the patient’s needs.
The cost of operation is found to be high and it is found that it was not helpful at the emergency situation.
Factors that is responsible for the problems:
The factors that are responsible for the problem to occur are “People”, “Technology”, and “organization”.
Management factor:
- The main goal of the system is to speed up the referral process, removal of paperwork that is expensive and to improve the participant of the patients which will reduce the loss that occurs with the system.
- The average booking of 90 percentage was never met by December 2006 because of the above mentioned process failure...
