Introduction:
The DNA polymerase enzyme uses a single-stranded DNA molecule as a template and causes the synthesis of another strand. DNA polymerases play important roles for replication of DNA and formation of two identical strands of DNA from one parent strand. DNA polymerases can “read” the parent strand to make new strands which are complementary to the parent strand.
