Chapter 12.2, Problem 10SC
Program Plan Intro
UML diagrams:
- UML is an acronym which represents Unified Modelling Language.
- In a word, UML is a modern approach to software modelling and documentation.
- It is actually one of the most popular techniques for modelling business processes.
- It is built upon software part diagrammatic representations.
- In the field of software engineering UML was primarily used as a general-purpose modelling language.
- For example, activity diagrams may be used as a replacement for flowcharts, a type of UML diagram. They offer both a more standardized way to model workflows and a wider range of features to improve readability and effectiveness.
Aggregation:
- The aggregation relationship is also known as “has-a” relationship.
- The aggregation relationship states that objects of one class contain objects of a different class.
- Consider a quiz, which consists of questions. It can be said that the class “Quiz” aggregates the class “Question” because each quiz has one or more questions.
- In the UML notation, a line with a diamond-shaped symbol attached to the aggregating class denotes aggregation
