Explanation of Solution

In the question, a cumulative frequency graph of age of the members of the club are given. Now, we have to find out how many members of the club are more than sixty years of age. Thus, draw a vertical line at $60$ years. And draw a horizontal line through the intersection of the vertical line. We note that the horizontal line intersects the y-axis at a cumulative relative frequency of about $78\%$ . As shown in the graph given below:

  

Now, since the cumulative frequency is about $78\%$ , we know that $78\%$ of the members are less than $60$ years and thus, $100\%-78\%=22\%$ of the members are more than $60$ years old. It is given that there are $200$ members then,

  $\begin{array}{l}22\%\times 200\\ =44\end{array}$

Thus, option (b) is the correct option.
