Online Transaction Processing (OLTP):

• OLTP is the program that is used for supporting transaction oriented applications over the internet.
• It is helps in retail sales, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), financial transactions and order entries.
• It includes three steps. They are:
  • Collecting the input data
  • Processing the data
  • Updating the existing data
• The performance of OLTP includes clusters, discrete transactions, rollback segments, database tuning, buffer cache size and many others.
