Decision Support System (DSS):
- DSS is computer-based system. DSS is similar to the Management
Information Systems (MIS) but it overcomes the lack of information that is not available in the reports produced by the MIS. - Online analytical processing (OLAP) can also be included in some of the DSS.
- The analyzed data is displayed in the form of spreadsheet or graph using DSS by including query languages.
- DSS is used for analyzing and making decisions about the information.
- In some organizations, DSS is used by managers only.
