Introduction:
The brain and the spinal cord consist of two distinct regions called gray and white matter. The gray matter is a butterfly-shaped structure that is present in the surrounding of the central cavity of the spinal cord. The white matter surrounds the gray matter and contains a large number of myelinated axons.
