The wall of eyes is composed of three basic tunics that are regionally modified to accommodate specific functions; tunica fibrosa (outer tunic) comprises the cornea and sclera and which is continuous around the entire eye, tunica vasculosa (middle tunic) comprises the choroid and part of ciliary body and iris, and tunica interna (inner eye) is the inner most tunic which comprises the retina and part of ciliary body and iris.
