Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The CNS contains immune cells called the microglial cells. The microglial cells destroy foreign bodies, nervous tissue, which is dead and the microorganisms by phagocytosis and are found in the brain and spinal cord.  Satellite cells and Schwann cells are the two types of glial cells of the PNS. Schwann cells produce myelin around neural axon and are found in extremity nerves of the body.
