This routing is based on the destination address which is specified in the headers of the packets. It can be divided into types. They are:
- Static routing
- Dynamic routing
Static routing – Static routing is the simplest process of routing. The routing table of this routing is manually configured by administrator with knowledge of other network IDs.
Dynamic routing – the routing table is configured dynamically using routing protocol. The major classes of dynamic routing protocol are:
- Distance
