Calculation:
There is a problem with this experimental design.
The problem is that the heart rates are monitored for two groups while doing two different types of exercises. Running on a treadmill may have a different effect on heart rate than lifting the weights. Thus it is not possible to see such an effect with the experiment the way it is designed.
One possible improvement is that the heart rates of the athletes should be checked while doing same type of exercises.
