Introduction:

The peripheral nervous system is the system that functions among the branched nerves that arising from the central nervous system. It is made up of the cranial nerves and the spinal nerves.

The cranial nerve originates from the brain while the spinal nerves originate from the spinal cord. The grouping of spinal nerves is based on the strata from which they arrive. The number of pairs of spinal nerves based on their grouping is 31.
