Inductive effect: An inductive effect is polarization of σ bonds which is depends on the electronegativity of the molecule.

Hyperconjugation effect: The electrons in the sigma bond interacts with either empty or nonbonding p orbital and also interacts with antibonding σ or π orbital, or filled π orbital which results in the extra stability of the system and the phenomenon is termed as hyperconjugation.

The increasing order of radical stability is given below

Benzylic > allylic > tertiary > secondary > primary > methyl
