The opinion of an individual to get screened for cancer or not if, a close family had a history of cancer and a test is available for that and also to analyze progression of that individual after getting the information. If a sibling of that individual decides to get screened for cancer, if he would be willing to know the result or not.
Concept introduction:
Cancer is a common disease that involves changes in specific genes that can pass from one blood relative to other and its hereditary form often occurs in the family tree. Individual that received oncogenes or mutated tumor suppressor gene from their parent or from nearby family member will have higher likelihood of developing cancer within their life time.
