Introduction: Cross-docking is a distribution technique whereby a company does loading and unloading goods for redistribution operations in one location with minimal handling and storage. The advantages offered are quick and efficient movement of goods, reduced storage space and rapid delivery to customers, reduced spoilage. There by resulting in a focused pick and pack warehousing.
