Vertebrae are the bones that are present in the spinal column. There are 33 bones in the vertebral or spinal column, which are interlocked. Their structure is irregular and complex consisting of bone and few hyaline cartilages. These vertebrae can be divided into five types based on the regional variation, namely cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal vertebrae.
