Introduction:

A group of muscles which is found in the front part of the thigh is termed as quadriceps femoris. The word “quadriceps� means four heads and the same is true for this group of four muscles. All these muscles provide powerful extensions of the knee joint. These muscles are actively involved in walking, running and other actions.
