Acidianus is archaeal phage which belongs to the Sulfolobacea genus. Archaea is a single-celled prokaryote which doesn’t have any nucleus. Archaea mostly thrive in extreme environments like hot springs, hydrothermal vents, and volcano sediments. They are termed as extremophiles. Achaea is considered as bacteria former but later it is distinguished as separate phyla.
