First press $\boxed{\text{MODE}}$ key on graphical calculator and select the polar mode. Press $\boxed{\text{Y}=}$ key and enter right hand side of the equation after the symbol ${\text{Y}}_1$ . Enter the keystrokes $\boxed{\text{1}}\boxed{÷}\boxed{(}\boxed{1}\boxed{-}\boxed{0.8}\boxed{\text{COS}}\boxed{\theta }\boxed{)}\boxed{)}$ .

The display will show the equation,

  ${\text{r}}_{\text{1}}=1/\left(1-0.8\cos \left(\theta \right)\right)$

The appropriate viewing window for the function is $\left[-10,10\right]$ by $\left[-10,10\right]$ .
