Summary Introduction

Introduction: A set of regulatory genes that function together to organize the formation of body pattern during the early development is called as homeotic genes. Homeotic proteins either stimulate or suppress the genes, which may lead to the dislocation of the body parts. These genes code for the transcription factor that has a region called homeodomain and are called as Hox genes that are mostly found in vertebrates.
