Introduction:
Skeletal muscle is defined as a voluntary striated muscle that's attached to one or more bones. A typical skeletal muscle cell about 100μm long and some are thick as 500μm and long as 30cm. Due to their significant length, they called as muscle fibers/ myofibers. The contractions happen due to stimulation by a nerve and skeletal muscles are innervated by somatic motor neurons.
