To determine:

The type of muscle tissue that is least impacted by the change in extracellular Ca²⁺ concentration during contraction.

Introduction:

The increased amount of the Ca²⁺ promotes the formation of actin-myosin complex in the muscle cells. Therefore the Ca²⁺ concentration of the cytosol should always be low. Muscle fibers would fail to relax if the concentration of the Ca²⁺ remains increased. The muscle tissue that would be least impacted by the increased concentration of Ca²⁺ in the extracellular space in the contraction state, is the skeletal muscle tissues.
