Trina is a gym goer with a leg length of 84 cm. Suppose that she is in the gym doing straight legraising with 10 lb weights.
Compute for the force that the muscle should exert in order to (1) maintain it in the position and(2) lift the weight up given that the distance of the effort (muscle) from the joint is 54 cm,distance of the weight is 80 cm, and the COM is 45 cm from the joint.

GIVEN:
Leg length = 84 cm = 0.84 m
Distance of the muscle from the joint = 54 cm = 0.54 m
Distance of the weight = 80 cm = 0.80 m
Distance of the COM from the joint = 45 cm = 0.45 m
Mass = 10 lb = 4.535 kg
Linear displacement x = 38.971 cm Or x = 0.389 m
