Competency based performance evaluation:-
A competency-based evaluation is an assessment in which supervisors identify the skills and abilities that are required to perform successfully in the job, then identify evidence that indicates how well each person is performing in those areas. A drawback to this approach is that it requires supervisors to be skilled at recognizing what skills are needed for success on the job and how to measure them; they also must be able to translate those skills into specific tasks and behaviors that constitute good performance on each skill.
