World war 1 was one of the greatest wars that engulfed the world during the 20th century. It was mostly fought by the imperial nations to secure their colonies and their assets in these colonial settlements. At the same time, nationalistic ideologies were also emerging that impacted the war. On one side were, Britain, and France, and on the other were, Germany, and Austria-Hungary, finally the German side lost the war and was made to sign the Treaty of Versailles.
