European explorers started moving out in search of new areas in the 15th century. These missions were sanctioned by the respective ruling government and were funded by private and public money. The tools and other material required for these missions were developed within the country or purchased from outside sources. These missions though , would not have been possible without some technological innovations that changed the way in which these discoveries happened.
