also be used to determine how well one method of measurement works compared to
another. For example, we could see how accurate self-reported answers on a survey are in
comparison to clinical measurements. Here is an example.
A survey is conducted of 1000 patients asking them to state YES/NO to the following
question: Are you obese? Then, clinical measurements of those same 1000 patients were
taken to determine a clinical diagnosis of obesity. Results are shown in the table.
