Teenage depression is one of the most prevalent forms of depression in today's society. The fact that sometimes it is difficult to tell whether a teen is depressed rather than dealing with the typical angst of adolescence makes it all the more difficult to diagnose. With the rise of social media and hyper-connected across the internet, teenage depression is becoming a bigger social problem day by day.
However, a few social measures can be taken to tackle this problem, as is described in the next section. We will look at how we can solve the problem of teen depression from two perspectives, namely, from that of the teen themselves and from that of the parents/teachers.
