The period in Ancient Greece, which fell between the Archaic and the Hellenistic, is called the Classical Age. This period of antiquity saw growth in political awareness and cultural progress. During this time period, the concept of the Polis was developed. Different Greek states formed the Empire and all of them formulated different forms of governance. There was also the development of language, art, architecture, philosophical, and intellectual studies in the Classical Age.
It was also during this period, that the conflict between Greece and the Persian state was seen.
