Transcribed Image Text:Sample:
Mean improvement in mood in each condition were calculated and are
presented in Table 1 and Figure 1. Improvements in mood were
analysed in a 2 (drug: placebo, drug) x 2 (therapy: CBT, waitlist)
factorial Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Main effects of drug, F(1, 16)
= 9.36, p = .007, n² = 0.37, and therapy, F(1,16) = 5.12, p = .038,
n² = 0.24, were qualified by a significant interaction between drug
and therapy, F(1,16) = 5.12, p = .038, ŋ²p = 0.24. The drug caused
significant improvement in those in CBT, (16) = 3.76, p= .002; however,
it did not significantly affect mood in those on the waitlist, f(16) = 0.56,
p = .580.
