The Cold War was avoidable at this point. After the war, there would obviously be tensions between thew United States and the USSR, but it is erroneous to say they these differences would automatically spark a cold war. In addition, what I am basically trying to say is that they could have had made an agreement of some sort or find a better solution that the Cold War.  With that being said it is reasoning of why I believe The Cold War is avoidable. Overall, there are many other reasons of why The Cold War was avoidable.

Was the policy to contain communism effective? Why or why not?

Basically yes because they were not exactly fighting physically they were just throwing threats and each other .

 

Do you think communism stopped or slowed down? Why or why not?

They sure did slow down but did not stop, mostly because they had information but because of the walls they would not be able to communicate around.

 

 How would you have stopped the spread of communism? Why?

Try to own their trust to win their loyalty so that why it is easier to stop communism.

The conflict would be more politically and mostly throwing out threats
