radical phase French rev
Nationalism is a concept and movement that encourages a particular nation's interest in achieving and safeguarding territorial sovereignty over its national boundaries to create a nation-state. Nationalism is based on self-government without any outside interference and the national feeling of its people. The feeling of a nation is formed from different aspects of shared characteristics of culture, ethnicity, geographic location, language, religion, Politics, traditions, and shared history, and these features are the elements that shape nationalism in a country.
These features unite people by forming solidarity of belonging to a common group which is essential for creating nationalism. If these factors are absent, developing a national feeling inside a country is challenging. Without national sentiment, it would be hard for a nation to survive as a single unit.
