Reply to this discussion:       I took great responsibility for my land and my assets. I kept everything in order including my slaves. There wasn’t a cotton not picked and every wood log chopped. I had order and productivity at an all-time high. With the emancipation coming through, this disrupts all we worked hard to keep. We cannot lose our property, that would mean losing our worth as a culture of Caucasian Americans. We need the control, and we need the workers to do it. That war will hinder our progress and status.

       Life is seldom, we are “between the right parallels of latitude and longitude, having the right sort of coast facilities, and abounding in every production that can form the basis of prosperity and power.” We have established a system that works just as well as slaves! We will continue to build a system that works for our nation even after the war, it has impacted greatly but we will strive off our problems with great solutions
