Marissa went on a trip and drove her car throughout the day. The graph below shows Marissa's distance from the starting point of her trip for difference segemtns of time. Part A Describe each of the three segments of the graph in terms of the rate of change in Marissa's distance from the starting point throughout her tip. Part B Describe Marissa's distance from the staring point at the end of her trip in relation to her distance from the strating point at the beginning of her tip. Use evidence from the graph above to justify
Marissa went on a trip and drove her car throughout the day. The graph below shows Marissa's distance from the starting point of her trip for difference segemtns of time.
Part A
Describe each of the three segments of the graph in terms of the rate of change in Marissa's distance from the starting point throughout her tip.
Part B
Describe Marissa's distance from the staring point at the end of her trip in relation to her distance from the strating point at the beginning of her tip. Use evidence from the graph above to justify
in first segment, we can see that graph is curved, and the slope of a (distance-time) graph gives us speed.
in first segment because the slope is not constant it means speed is not constant.
slope of graph decreases which means speed is decreasing or motion of Marrisa is decelerated in first segment.
In second segment distance in not changed for duration (4hrs to 7hrs). slope here is zero. and ehich means speed was zero or we can say Mariisa was at rest for this time duration.
In third sement graph is constant so speed of Marissa is constant but we can also see, distance is decreasing therefore it means that marissa is approaching to it's starting point with a cnstant speed.
