For each topic (1-4) briefly (but in complete sentences) first tell me what it was (who, what, when, where) and then show me why it is important (why is it important in understanding Women's history).
1. black and white women defined in law
2. thomas(ine)
3. Republican motherhood
4. Women and the revp
Women's history deals with studying the past from the perspective of women, their rights, and their evolution in history. It is a fact that women have been marginalized and ignored in historical narratives because of male dominance in societies and cultures, which is also reflected in historical records.
Women's history as a branch of history began to emerge as women gained more political and social significance. The movements for women's rights and the rise of feminist ideas promoted women's history.
