During the 20th century, the US witnessed a great number of people flocking to their nation. This continued from 1910 till 1970. Thus, this phase was also known as the "Great Migration" period. However, there are two phases dividing this period - the First Migration period lasted from 1910 to 1940. The Second Great Migration period was from 1940 to 1970.
