The organisms of a Chain is classified into these levels on the basis of their feeding behaviour.

Producers:-

They make their own food by using light or chemical energy. They also called as autotrophs.
Ex:- plants, algae and some bacteria.

Primary consumers:-

They also called as herbivores. These organisms gain energy by eating primary producers and are called primary consumers.
Ex:- grazers:- whose diets consist atleast 90% grass.(Cows,sheeps and rabbits)
Browsers :- Whose diets consist atleast 90% tree leaves(goats,deers),Zooplanktons.
