Background:
Walla Walla Island is a small island found in
Canada. It was overgrown with different types of
vegetation (grasses/shrubs), so the Canadian
Wildlife Bureau decided to bring in a population
of deer to control the vegetation. 10 deer were
brought to the island and their population was
monitored for 16 years, as shown on the graph
to the right. This island has no predators such as
wolves and hunting is not allowed.
