Antibacterial is an activity performed by any chemical or other compound through which it will the particular bacteria, anti means killing and bacteria, so antibacterial means killing of bacteria.

there are some chemical compounds like antibiotics that restrict the growth of bacteria and beacuse of them, bacteria were restricted to growing on that plate. and the compound which kills bacteria are called antibacterial compounds and this process is known as bactericidal activity or antibacterial activity, generally, this kind of activity is seen in antibiotics and other toxic chemicals.

Antibacterial compounds degrade the cell wall of the bacteria or can block the metabolic process of the bacteria by which bacteria will be killed.

The term “bacteriostatic” means the agent or chemical compound which prevents the growth of bacteria but does not kills it.
