Our Lab X4 procedure calls for measuring absorbance of light by the phosphate-vanado-molybdate complex formed in
this analysis method. We will select 420 nm light in a spectrophotometer because the light absorption response is very
strong at this wavelength (as shown in Lab X4 Figure 3 of the Lab).
The absorption response curve shown in Figure 3 suggests that the test would be more sensitive if light less than 420 nm
is selected, but this usually isn't done because if
