Expert Solution
Step 1

Source 1 appeared in Pennsylvania Gazette, calling for unity among the colonies to fight against the French and Indian forces during the French Indian war. If the colonies remained divided, it would have been suicidal for them colonies. Each piece of the snake represented each colony of the British. The Join or Die was a massage to these colonies. Benjamin Franklin created it in 1754. This cartoon was significant to the colonies.
The second source is the letter of George Washington to the British General telling his wish to fight alongside the British against the French and Indian forces in the French Indian war and Seven years' war. The British won the war with the colonies' support, defeated the French, and ended the French colonial dominance worldwide.
