Expert Solution
Step 1

Circulatory system consists of the heart and different types of blood vessels. Heart pumps the blood into a type of blood vessel called arteries. These arteries usually carry the oxygenated blood to various tissues. This pure blood carries oxygen and nutrients to the tissues. As a result, tissues undergo different states of metabolism to produce wastes like carbon dioxide.  This deoxygenated blood is returned back to the heart via veins to be pumped to lungs to get purified.
