PART 3– Sex Linkage
Hemophilia is a recessive sex-linked disorder in which an important clotting factor
protein (Factor VIII) is not produced in a functional form. Queen Victoria was a
carrier of the recessive Factor VIII allele, meaning she carried the allele but was
asymptomatic. Recently, historians have discovered that she secretly had an affair
with the Austrian Count Chocula, who, unbeknownst to her, was a hemophiliac.
Naturally, the Royal Family fought to have this information suppressed, but it was
revealed that they had many children together.

PART 2 – Dihybrid Cross
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder in which the normal, autosomal
dominant gene for a membrane chloride channel (C) is mutated; but only
individuals with two mutated alleles will express the severe lung symptoms of CF.
The gene controlling hairline phenotype is also autosomal dominant, with widow's
peak hairline (W) dominant over straight hairline. A woman (2) with a straight
hairline and normal lungs marries a man (3) with a widow's peak and normal
lungs. The man's mother has a straight hairline and CF. The woman's father
suffers from CF.
5. In the Punnett Square below, show the cross between these two parents
