Post your description of the hypothesis’s function in the research process. Then, share the hypothesis you have generated for your research question. Identify the independent and dependent variables in your hypothesis. A research hypothesis is a possible answer to a research question. It is based on prior knowledge and predicts what the researcher will discover. It usually takes the form of a statement describing a relationship between two variables. Once the hypothesis has been tested, the results should produce an extension of pre-existing knowledge (Yegidis et al., 2018). Hypothesis Social workers are needed in the prison system to advocate for inmates on their behalf so that they have a chance at receiving the treatment, services and programs need while incarcerated so that when released they can reenter communities and make positive contributions to society.
