Currently I’m an undergrad, I attend classes, complete assignments, read textbooks, study, conduct research. I was expected to help around the house, help siblings or other family members out, while being in school, finding activities for myself. Also expected to be there for my mom and grandma mentally and do things they were unable to do. 4. Provide one example of role conflict. The task of being a wife, doing housework, cooking, cleaning, while also being a student with deadlines, it’s hard to pick what to handle at times. When I miss a deadline do to working full time, being a wife and having other engagements to attend. That I’ve been expected to help out more as the youngest rather than my older siblings. 5. Provide one example of role strain. Helping with finances, my husband makes more than I do so I don’t feel like I contribute as much so it becomes stressful on my part because I don’t feel like I’m succeeding in my role as a wife when I don’t contribute as much financially. All of the tasks of being a student while also being a wife, full time worker, being there for family events and other obligations becomes tense at times and stressful to being pulled in many different directions Even after moving out and being married, I still feel obligated to help my family and be there for them and because I’ve done it my whole life, it’s now expected of me, and it’s caused small strains in relationships with my family. 6. Provide one example of a status that might be subject to social inequalities.
