1 Group Intervention Framework Charlis Brown McKay Department of Social Work, Walden University SOCW 6121 Dr. Alex Casiano   January 17, 2023
2 Intervention Framework The evidence-based techniques and tactics that I would apply are imacttful and thorough. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy uses specific approaches to treat the complex aftermath of sexual trauma, it is an effective therapy for abuse recover (Toseland & Rivas, 2017) . It enables survivors to face their anxieties, regulate intense emotions, and regain control by teaching them how to identify and reframe upsetting thought patterns (Ezhumalai et al., 2018). To help survivors travel the difficult road toward recovery from the severe effects of sexual abuse, this structured method provides them with useful coping mechanisms. This promotes healing and resilience in survivors. Moving on requires people to be more sympathetic and less judgmental of themselves, which is something that CBT can teach them (Resick et al., 2003).   In addition to addressing previous sexual abuse. Secondly, solution-focused therapy makes sure that clients create a clear map of functioning behaviors and perspectives to replace trauma-based ones. Treatment plans are provided for a variety of symptoms, including self-mutilation, sexual dysfunction, post-traumatic amnesia, memory loss, and many more (Tambling, 2012). Lastly, a kind and accepting person-centered method called motivational interviewing can assist in inspiring the client to acknowledge that a shift in their life has resulted from sexual trauma (Humann et al., 2023).   Topics Throughout the group therapy session, I plan to cover the following subjects and more: 1. Being aware of anxiety disorders 2. Acknowledging unhelpful ideas and attempting to modify them 3. Learning constructive coping mechanisms for high-pressure circumstances 4. Handling tension 5. Creating a personal sense of confidence
3 6. defining and accomplishing personal goals 7. Improving one's ability to communicate effectively 8. Resolving disputes 9. Building and maintaining constructive connections with others
