2 Over the course of my engagement with quantitative research methods, my perspectives have undergone a significant transformation. My hesitation and doubts towards quantitative research were abundant at the beginning. Crunching numbers and statistics seemed incredibly intimidating. But my stance on this matter has altered greatly, as I have delved into the subject and gained a more overall view of its methods, applications and purpose. This entry will look at the shifts in my vision towards quantitative research and how it has influenced my method of data presentation, specifically as a project manager. Evolution of Views on Quantitative Research My initial perception of quantitative research was that it was an overly rigid and impersonal approach to studying phenomena. I believed it primarily involved collecting vast amounts of numerical data, which, while providing statistical validity, often lacked the depth and context that qualitative methods could offer. Moreover, I was concerned that quantitative research might prioritize quantity over quality and miss the nuances of human experiences and behaviors. However, as I delved deeper into the subject, I came to appreciate the unique strengths of quantitative research. It became evident that quantitative methods were invaluable for providing empirical evidence and testing hypotheses rigorously. The objectivity inherent in quantitative research appealed to me, as it offered a systematic and replicable way to examine relationships and patterns within data. Qualitative and quantitative research both have different roles which they plays in a research, ( Rahman, M. S. 2020) . Through the course I understood and appreciated that quantitative research complements qualitative research. This is because I have realized that it allows one to have a more comprehensive understanding of a phenomena which to many they can categorize it as a complex one and it is at this point quantitative research comes to play its
3 role very well. This is because quantitative data could provide the "what" and "how much" aspects, while qualitative data could offer the "why" and "how" explanations. Therefore I believe when one wants to get a very comprehensive answer it is important to integrate the two if there are no specifications of just one research method, incorporating the two will give one a better results at the end of the research. Therefore this integration of both approaches allowed for a more holistic view of research questions. Practical Application in Project Management As a project manager, my role often entails gathering and presenting data to inform decision-making processes within the organization. The knowledge I have gained from studying quantitative research methods has undoubtedly influenced how I approach data presentation to my supervisor and project stakeholders. I think the best thing as a project manager is to ensure, that I emphasize on Data Validity and Reliability. This is an approach that I believe it will be a very significant change in my approach, ( Strijker & Bouter, 2020) . Through this there will be a heightened emphasis on data validity and reliability. Using validated measurement tools and statistical techniques, it is essential to collect accurate, consistent, and unbiased data. The significance of this task cannot be overstated. The next thing to put into consideration is the clarity and visualization as throughout the course have learnt the value of presenting quantitative data in a clear and visually appealing manner. Instead of overwhelming my supervisor with raw numbers, I now use charts, graphs, and tables to convey key findings succinctly, ( Bloomfield & Fisher, 2019) . This approach allows stakeholders to grasp complex information quickly and make informed decisions.

4 Contextualization: While quantitative data provides valuable insights, I have also recognized the importance of contextualizing the findings. This means explaining the implications of the data within the broader project objectives and organizational goals. Contextualization helps bridge the gap between data and actionable insights. Automating data processing has been crucial to my ability to perform advanced data analysis tactics like regression analysis and hypothesis testing. Through this method, project- related issues have been able to be analyzed in greater depth and efficiency while minimizing the risk of human error, ( Bauer, et al, 2021). Through this, there are higher chances that all the decisions we are going to take regarding the project will be to the good of the project. There are many instances which one can make some errors when making decisions and therefore it is important to have analytics tactics which do not rely fully on human interventions. My journey into the realm of quantitative research has transformed my views and practices as a project manager. I now appreciate the rigor and objectivity it brings to decision- making processes. While I still value qualitative research for its depth and context, I recognize that quantitative research has a distinct and invaluable role in enhancing the validity and reliability of the data I present to my supervisor and stakeholders. Therefore ensuring that all important aspects of the decisions has been put into consideration is very important to ensure a decision which we are going to come up with is the best decision. My evolving perspective on quantitative research has made me a more informed and effective project manager, capable of leveraging data-driven insights for better project outcomes.
