Worldview Paper Assignment Part I Biblical worldview for me means that you see the world through the lens of the bible. It is the framework of ideas and beliefs through which a Christian individual, organization, or society interprets and interacts with the world is referred to as Christian worldview. It lays the groundwork for grasping the concepts of light vs. darkness, right vs. wrong, and good vs. evil. A Biblical worldview entails believing the Bible and viewing the world through its lens. However, no one can do it on their own; we are not good or self-sufficient enough for it. Furthermore, God's benefits cannot be gained through merit. After all, we have been saved by grace through faith. Liberty students could participate in frequent bible study groups and faith building events outside of school to build a stronger connection with Christ. Part II In a biblical worldview, God created the world from vacantness, and on the sixth day, God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. This is important for us to know as it shows God’s power and our importance to Him. God shows the significant of us by creating us to rule over all the other creatures on earth, giving us authority and the duty to work for His will. The identity of a believer in Christ indicates that they are a brand-new creature. The former self, which existed separately from Christ, has passed away, and the latter has been replaced by a new self, which has become more and more like Christ. Furthermore, being a human being also means being a servant of Christ, as Christ has showed his great mercy by dying on the cross therefore, we must worship him. The purpose of human creation was to provide abundant life. God's design includes all these things: fruitfulness and development, multiplication, and expansion, as well as structure and
organization. Furthermore, God also created humans to be stewards as serving others is serving God and a great example of this is Jesus serving and healing us. There are infinite examples in the Bible showing his healing, one of which is in Matthew 8:16 when Jesus healed the ones who were “demon-possessed”. The bible is the center of the belief and clearly identifies the difference between right and wrong. There are moral and ethical bases of right and wrong. The wrong in the bible is portraited by the seven deadly sins which are typically ordered as: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Furthermore, God has also put the sense of wrongness in our conscience, according to 1 Kings 2:44, “You know in your heart all the wrong you did”. On the other hand, the bible also clearly states the right things that humans should do, God explicitly said that we should obey His commands he has given to us including the 10 commandments he has given to Moses in Exodus. The bible tells us not to live by following the deeds of the world as it would lead to sin, but to embody the heavenly virtues. The question of destiny is also frequently mentioned in the words of God, according to John 3:16 “whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”, this is an extremely important scripture as it is the center of Christian belief to have faith in God and be able to eternal life by God’s side. After physical death you either end up with God or separation from Him.
