BIBLE104 Name: Wesleyanne Latchaw BIBLE STUDY PROJECT: INTERPRETATION Passage: Acts 19:11-22 A. Summarize: Determine the author’s main point and explain what you think the author is trying to communicate in this passage. Summary- Acts 19:11-22 passages are a powerful reminder of God’s almighty, and his powers he has given Paul to perform unusual miracles. Paul’s journey began in Asia where God blessed him with healing powers to heal the people who were consumed by the evil spirits with a touch from a handkerchief or piece of fabric that Paul touched. This passage summarizes God's connection not only to the spiritual world but also to the physical world. (75 Words) Anyhow, Acts 19:11-22 pinpoints the importance of God's power and those who aren't true followers or believers; who are tempted to use the powers God gave Paul will always be unsuccessful. This event is a reminder to those who have faith in God and willingly surrender to his will then those powers will be available to them. BIBLE104 The theological principle of God's creative power is a widespread concept in Christian theology, which is rooted in the scriptures and verses. The Bible teaches that God is the highest authority, whose power is created and sustains all things. In Genesis, we read that "God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing" (Genesis 1:1 NIV), and in multiple sections of the Bible, we see evidence of His influence over his people. (74 words) In conclusion, seeing the ultimate power the miraculous powers Paul was blessed with has on the people of Ephesus making them openly confess and turning away from practicing magic. This openly aligns with the theological of self-condemnation and conversion. Paul's journey in Ephesus, serves as a powerful picture of how encountering the name of Lord Jesus can lead to major life changes. Stating in Zondervan's handbook to the Bible says “If Paul could win the people of Ephesus to the Christian faith the news would spread through the whole province of Asia.” This meant that Christianity would spread more widely throughout the world.
